“I Borghi più Belli d’Italia” – a club founded in 2001 to give value to the history, the tradition, the environment, the culture and the art of the most beautiful localities in Italy – continues to honour its commitment with great passion, even after 15 years.
Plenty of events and initiatives are planned to promote tourism in the most beautiful cities and towns. It is impossible not to be bewitched by the marvels hidden throughout Italy.

On the 25th of June, for example, an exciting event will take place to celebrate love and beauty in all their forms: “La Notte Romantica”, which is perfect for lovers looking for romantic getaways in Abruzzo!

It is a special opportunity for you to spend an unforgettable day with your sweetheart

You can enjoy pleasant walks through the alleys of the towns involved in the initiative. Since the event takes place at the weekend following the summer solstice, you will have plenty of time to spend with your sweetie while waiting for the sunset.
In the evening, thanks to specific menus, you can taste the typical products in the most renowned and suggestive restaurants. Entertainment events will delight the evening: theatre shows, exhibitions, live music, fireworks…
At midnight, balloons and lanterns will be launched into the sky.

For dinner, you can choose between the “Locanda sotto gli Archi” (our restaurant) and the “Cantinone” (our cellar).
In the former case, you will taste the ancient recipes traditionally prepared in the towns around the Gran Sasso; in the latter case, you will savour products that are usually stored in a cellar: ham, cheese, wine, beer and other specialties.
The night will be enlivened by a series of events throughout the village: wedding dress exhibition, music, launch of sky lanterns…
The morning after, you will consume a substantial breakfast with the traditional homemade products of Abruzzo.
