Gastronomic tour: bread and breadstamp of Matera workshop

In the past, bread was the most important food for poor peasants, therefore its making, its typical shape, the bread stamp, had an important role in the whole process. Visit of a typical bakery and tasting of some local products (Matera’s bread, focaccia, biscuits), hearing the story telling of the baker. Transfer to the Sassi to reach a traditional shop to discover the history of the wooden bread stamp, with which in ancient times the dough was branded before baking, and assist in the creation of a personalized model. Not available on weekends and bank holidays.
