The closest airport to Matera is Bari Palese (in Apulia approximately 45 min by car), which is well connected to most important Italian and European cities.
There are daily flights from Rome to Bari.
Alternatively Matera can be reached by train or car from Naples and the Amalfi coast (270km) or from Rome (470km).

The Ionian sea only 45 min away or the beautiful beaches of the Adriatic sea, in Apulia, more or less an hour drive away.

The hotel is located in the heart of the oldest town of USESCO Sassi di Matera. This is a restricted traffic area, and the transit is forbidden to any car, included our guest. As for parking, there are three options:

2. Multi-storey car park. Fare 0,50 cent per hour. From there public shuttle “Linea Sassi” is available every 15 minutes. You can buy ticket on board and get off at the stop “Madonna delle Virtù”. 3. Possibility to park in the free stalls (white lines) over the streets outside the pedestrian area of the historical centre.
