L’AQUILA: THE TOWN OF NATURE AND CULTURE
Trekking tour starting from Monticchio (AQ), crossing sinkholes and valleys with stunning view on L’Aquila area. We will reach Sant’Angelo D’Ocre monastery, a charming monument of 1200 embedded in the rock. At the end of the excursion quick transfer with cars and guided tour of L’Aquila historical centre.

ROCCA CALASCIO AND ‘SCATTERER CRIBS’ OF SANTO STEFANO DI SESSANIO
Trekking from Santo Stefano di Sessanio up to Rocca Calascio, crossing Val Parte valley. After visiting the castle and the close church od Madonna della Pietà, we will get back to Santo Stefano through an ancient mountain path.

CANOEING WITH SANTA!

Trekking from the medieval village of Castelvecchio Calvisio up to Capestrano, crossing an ancient shepherds’ path into the woods. At the end of the excursion, guided tour at the living nativity scene in the historical centre of the village

TIRINO VALLEY AND THE LIVING NATIVITY SCENE OF OFENA
Trekking in the Tirino Valley, amoung the river springs and the view on the Gran Sasso mountains. Lunch break with local products. Transfer to Ofena village to visit the traditional nativity scene.

SNOWSHOES WALK OF NEW YER’S EVE
Snowshoes walk starting from Castel Del Monte (short transfer with cars) at 9 am. Return by 2 pm with a toast on the snow to welcome the new year!

Circular itinerary passing through the peal of Mount Meta, where we will have a 360° view and the area. Return through the beech wood and the Voltigno valley.
MOONLIGHT SNOWSHOES WALK
Starting from Santo Stefano or Campo Imperatore (according to the presence of snow). 3 hours walk guided by the moon light

KIDS ON CAMPO IMPERATORE LOWLAND – Snowshoes walk
Easy excursion for families and kids and for who has never tried snowshoes before. Soft and easy path with very little uphill, in the charming scenery of Campo Imperarore lowland.
BEFANA, THE OLD MAGIC
Afternoon for kind in Sextantio Tisaneria. Gianna narrates the legend of Befana and shares homemade sweets and hot chocolate with all children! Children’s book market and children’s workshop to follow.

EPIPHANY IN CASTEL DEL MONTE
Trekking in Castel Del Monte medieval village, at the foot oh Mount Bolza in a unique scenery, surrounded by the highest peaks of Appennini. In the afternoon Befana will arrive in the village, where the witch figure has always been strictly funded to the local traditions
